    Cold Email Outreach Campaign R.O.I. Calculator

    How much can I expect to make from a cold email outreach campaign?

    Regardless of whether or not you are new to cold email outreach or not, you should always be looking at your Return On Investment.  In short, how much revenue does your cold email outreach spend generate?

    To help you understand this we have created an online calulcator that you can use below.

    Follow the instructions below to use the calculator:

    1. Enter your estimated audience size: You can guess this if you wish or contact a member of our sales team to understand exactly what volume we have that matches your specific criteria – for instance, there are 500 marketing managers within manufacturers with £20M turnover in Leeds so we have entered 500 to help get you started but you can change this.
    2. Enter your average response rate: A response is a positive campaign response – i.e. a form completion or an email reply.  The average response rate is 1% so we have entered this to help get you started however if you have not done any cold email outreach you could look at your average response rate from Google PPC and divide this by 3 to get a rough idea of your average reponse rate from cold email outreach.
    3. Enter your average close rate: Of the leads that you typically generate what percentage do you typically close?  This can be 15% on average but for some it is much higher, closer to 50%.  You can calculate your close rate by dividing your total leads by the number of total sales – so 100/15 then multiply this by 100 to get a percentage therefore 100/15 X 100 = 15%.
    4. Enter your average order value: What is your average order value?  To calculate this, take the total revenue and divide by total customers so for instance £25,000 divided by 10 is £2,500.  It is important to consider the total lifetime value from a customer not just their first order value for instance.

    Once you have entered these values you will see the total number of leads to expect, the number of new customers and the return on investment to expect.
